About Me

Hello to you on the other side of the screen! Nice to have you here getting to know me and Luna! I’m Liis Hertta Viks – the founder and owner of Language Studio Luna.

Determined. Ambitious. Cheerful. Attentive. Approachable. Sensitive. Brave. Creative.

I’m living my dream job – I’m a qualified Finnish and Estonian language teacher. During my bachelor’s studies, I majored in Finnish and minored in Estonian. In my master’s studies, I focused solely on Finnish. I graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Turku.

Finnish is my favorite language. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Finnish language and culture with others who are interested.
I want my students to get the most out of my lessons. Meetings with me are relaxed, and you can always be yourself!

Luna was born from personal experiences and feelings. I have work experience in various fields, including retail, children’s club guidance, and of course, teaching. Language teaching has always felt right for me. I’ve always been a ‘language police’ and loved foreign languages and linguistics in general. I had so much passion that I started my own business.

I continuously update my knowledge in multiculturalism, pedagogy, business, and work-life studies to make my services as beneficial as possible for you.

P.S. Luna means Moon. I’ve always been enchanted by the Moon’s charm and its magical atmosphere. There’s something mystical and inexplicable about it. I gain immense strength, and my creativity is at its peak during the full moon.
